Zama changes from Finance to Customer Development
I've been with Unilever for nearly three years. I started in Finance. Before that I was with Ernst & Young. During a secondment a college asked whether I though I’d be better suited to Customer Development. I agreed and made the move to CD where I’m now the NAM Assistant for Shoprite.

Move to Customer
I felt I had reached my maximum growth in Finance – learning about the function - and sales was the next thing I wanted to know. Sales is a crutial part of any business. I then made the move to CD by taking up the position of NAM Assistant for Shoprite.

What I do now...
Currently I’m a National Account Manager (NAM) Assistant. I enjoy the diversity of task and challenges that each day brings. If asked why I’ve stayed on with the company through difficult times, it’s because I am better for it. Challenging times accelerate your development and personal growth. But most importantly, I know that value I add will change the way things are being done. Each day is therefore about adding value either to the business or to the lives of our consumers.
