End of September, a star-studded line up of South African stars that included DJ Black Coffee, DJ PH, DJ Benny Maverick, Khanya Mkhangisa, and Ayanda Thabethe left for Ibiza as part of the #AxeIbiza campaign which sought to find Africa's next up and coming DJ's.
Kutloano "Da Kruk" Nhlapo emerged as the overall winner from South Africa and he was joined by 3 other winning DJ's from Ethiopia, Nigeria and Zambia. Each of the DJ's showcased their magic and performed live at an exclusive AXE Villa party, headlined by Black Coffee.
"AXE has always had a presence within music and through Find Your Magic we wanted to provide a platform to find Africa's up and coming DJ's and showcase their talent on a global stage. AXE believes that every guy has a special magic; something unique that makes them who they are. This campaign allowed us to bring this vision to life and we got to see them showcase their magic in Ibiza," said Ryan Fauconier, AXE Brand Manager.
All of the AXE guests enjoyed a 4-day AXE Ibiza VIP experience that included the finale at Ibiza super club Hi Ibiza, a private yacht party and the ultimate AXE Ibiza Private Villa Party.
"Thank you to AXE for making my dream a reality. I have no doubt that this is an experience I will remember for a long time. This will be my first time playing overseas and I'm planning to make the most of it" said Kutloano, the winner of the SA DJ search competition.
