Women’s Health’s epic Workout Party, Fit Night Out, is returning to Cape Town on 17 February 2018. As one of the sponsors of the event, Shield South Africa will once again be joining in on all the action, ensuring everyone’s #ShieldReady to get moving!

Readers can expect the hottest fitness trends packed into a late afternoon of fun and fitness, led by yogis, trainers, dance instructors and the Women’s Health team, pitched at all levels of fitness. Fit Night Out-ers can also look forward to cool activities, spot prizes and photo-ops with some of SA’s biggest fitness stars at the Shield stage.

Joining the Shield Squad will be original Women’s Health Next Fitness Star, Mapule Ndhlovu, Sbahle Mpisane aka FitnessBunnie and Nkateko “Takkies” Maswanganye. Each of these ladies will be showing off their unique workout styles at the Shield stage during the course of the afternoon, so come through, join in the fun, be inspired to move…and get that selfie!

“We’re excited to be part of Women’s Health Fit Night Out, once again! We believe in empowering women, giving them the confidence they need to take on the day and be #ShieldReady. It is through exciting partnerships like Fit Night Out that we continue our endeavors to support and enable women across our country to get up and move,” says Sphelele Mjadu, Senior Public Relations Manager, Unilever South Africa.

“Shield antiperspirant is the product that helps women get ready and feel confident through its superior 48h protection. Our ambassadors, Sbahle, ‘Takkies’ and Mapule will be representing Shield in 2018 at all three Fit Night Out events, with fun-filled and challenging workouts brought to you by Shield,” adds Gareth Marshall, Shield Brand Manager.

About fit night out: Fit Night Out was launched by Women’s Health in 2016. Powered by adidas, it has grown from an activation of 1 000 women to hosting close to 5 000 women in Joburg and Cape Town last year. “There really is no better way to celebrate the inner strength of women – especially in a year that is fast turning into a watershed one for women - than hearing them roar together,” says Weakley.
