Human Resources Director - Southern Africa

Celeste has more than 20 years of HR experience and joins us from Illovo Sugar (South Africa) as Human Resources Head.

Celeste’s experience in Human Resources spans both generalist and specialist roles within companies such as CCBSA, SAB, and De Beers Mining. Additionally, she has board and board committee (RemCo, Risk) experience.

Celeste holds the belief that to effectively partner in HR, you need to truly understand the business and operate from a point of good functional excellence. She prioritises people engagement, is passionate about the EDI agenda, and has a strong drive for performance. She has successfully led business transformation and culture change projects.

Celeste holds a Bachelor's Degree, BA (Psychology, Sociology) and Postgraduate Diploma (Organisational Psychology) from the University of KwaZulu Natal.
