One of the challenges presented by lifestyle diseases is that affected people tend not to be aware of their condition so do not take preventative steps until it is too late. We have collaborated with the Heart and Stroke Foundation South Africa to develop the salt calculator tool for those members of the public who want to know how much salt they eat daily.
