Janine Van-Rooyen

Nutrition Business Lead - Southern Africa

Janine has over 9 years of experience within Unilever, she started her career with Unilever South Africa in March 2005 in Customer Development and throughout the years she has occupied various roles across the business units.

In 2008, Janine was appointed Regional Sales Manager where she managed the Coastal sales team. In 2017, she was appointed as Customer Manager before taking up a role as the first female Managing Director for UFS South Africa in 2019, where she navigated and lead the business to deliver strong results both top and bottom line.

Janine accelerated digital transformation and efficiencies across Unilever food solutions resulting in many projects being called out as best practice globally and being one of the fastest growing countries despite the effects of covid on the out of home industry.

In April 2022, in addition to her current responsibilities as Managing Director Unilever Foods Solutions South Africa, Janine was appointed CCBT Lead - Foods Southern Africa effective 2 May 2022.

Janine holds a Masters Degree in Business Administration. Her purpose is to make a positive impact on the people around her, in and outside of work.
